Returning to London's Olympia this weekend on 13-14 April, The Natural Food Trade Show 2014 will showcase its biggest ever choice of the world's best natural, organic, Fairtrade, free-from and special diet products.
Innovative, inspiring, buzzing, brilliant, and essential - these are just some of the words attendees used to describe the 2013 show, which enjoyed a record 52% increase in attendance compared to 2012 and a 92% approval rate (excellent/good) by its visiting trade buyers.
"The Natural Food Show was magnificent and very well attended," said Raymond Blanc, who hosted a live kitchen demo (in association with Pertwood) at last year's event. "I think more and more the consumer is looking at ethics to make their own choices. The consumer is critical and more demanding, wanting to know what is in his food and where it comes from. This show responds to these demands."
New companies for 2014 include Norfolk Cordial; Jollyum (award-wining dairy-free ice cream); BioBandits (organic sauces, dressing, mayonnaise and mustard); Foodyna Algeria (100% organic dates); OkoBay (the world\'s first coconut water ice lolly); Elite Natural (100% organic juices and smoothies); Búšlak Oil Company (bio-sunflower oils); Wanderlust (gourmet nut butter); and (Soil Association Gold winner) Love Raw Organic Food Company.
They join returning exhibitors Eskal Foods; Perkier Foods; Perry Court Farm; Wild Planet Foods; House Of Sarunds; Wedderspoon Organic UK; and George Skoulikas; plus, industry wholesalers, such as Tree of Life, Essential Trading, Infinity Foods, Suma Wholefoods, Clearspring, The Health Store, and Marigold Health Foods.
As in previous years, international organic producers will also be well represented. For 2014, there are new country pavilions from Sicily and Russia (the latter will be showcasing unique products from around ten of its richly-diverse regions). They join returning pavilion contingents from Argentina, France, Italy, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the USA. New exhibitors from Romania, Sierra Nevada in Spain, and Crete - the largest of the Greek Islands, have also just been confirmed.
The event will also boast a new Soil Association Organic Chiller pavilion, featuring Riverford Dairy; Brown Cow Organics; Godminster; PIP Organic; Heavenly Organics; and Bio-tiful Dairy.
Whilst the show's popular Organic Trade Board Pavilion, Vegan Society Pavilion, Raw Food Pavilion and the New Product Showcase, all offer a host of innovative new artisan suppliers that buyers won't find at any other UK trade show in 2014.
