"We were very excited to receive two boxes of Byron Bay cookies (two female teenagers in the house who both have a sweet tooth). The packaging looked good, giving a clear view of the cookie, as well as clear information and it looked very attractive. From a transportation point of view, a couple of the cookies had crumbled within their packaging.
The cookies had a good texture to them, although I found the chocolate ones drier and more crumbly – not necessarily a snack to try and eat on the go – too many crumbs. Their size was generous and chunky – any bigger and you’d begin to feel guilty about having too much of a good thing!
I loved the Sticky Date, Ginger & Walnut – lovely chunks of ingredients and just the right level of ginger – yum. Cranberry & White Choc Chunk was another firm favourite, again because of the substantial cranberries and chunks of chocolate. The children loved the chocolate cookies and didn’t worry about the mess!
Overall the balance of flavours were ideal, nothing was overpowering and all tasted of what they ought to (often they smell of strawberry but taste of nothing but sawdust!).
